First released in 1993, Omega’s Seamaster Professional Diver 300M has enjoyed a legendary following and is often referred to as the “Omega Bond” or the “Bond Seamaster”, due to its use in the James Bond movie franchise. This model celebrates Omega’s role as the Official Timekeeper of the 36th America’s Cup. It is housed in a robust 44mm stainless steel case that is 17.2mm thick and 52.8mm lug to lug, and is water resistant to 300m, has a screw down crown at 3 o’clock, conical Helium release valve at 10 o’clock, and color-matched date wheel at 6 o’clock. The rhodium-plated skeleton hands and all 12 raised indices are filled with Super Luminova and the domed sapphire crystal has anti-reflective treatment on both sides for amazing readability. The blue dial is made of ceramic and features a laser-engraved wave pattern, with a matching ceramic uni-directional bezel insert with white enamel diving scale. Unique to this model, the chronograph seconds hand is fully red, with a tail evoking the America’s Cup trophy. The case back has a special engraving to commemorate the 36th America’s Cup in Auckland 2021. The “Seamaster” wordmark on the dial is in red, adding a bold touch.
