Fears Redcliff 39.5 Date 'ES' Automatic – BS139.510.002.120

Fears Redcliff 39.5 Date 'ES' Automatic – BS139.510.002.120

The Fears Redcliff 39.5 'Endurance Specification' is the first true tool watch of the modern Fears era, hand-built in Britain in small batches with a focus on strength, precision, and elegance. Its 39.5mm case, crafted from frosted and hardened 316L stainless steel, undergoes a treatment to achieve an extraordinary hardness rating of 2,000 Vickers—nine times that of standard steel—making it remarkably durable. To further enhance its resilience, the bezel, crown, and exhibition caseback are finished with a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. Despite this toughness, the case maintains a sleek profile of just 9.98mm.

The dial, one of the most intricate ever produced by Fears, is made in Germany and features a carbon black, anti-glare textured finish with crisp white and vivid orange accents. A thoughtfully integrated date window at 3 o’clock reveals a bespoke “Edwin” typeset disc, while bold, moulded Super-LumiNova® indexes provide exceptional visibility. The baton at 12 o’clock pays subtle tribute to Bristol’s iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, a nod to Fears’ heritage. Distinctive Fears-shaped hands, filled with Super-LumiNova®, are paired with a striking orange seconds hand for excellent legibility.

At its heart, the Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement ensures reliable performance with a 68-hour power reserve. The watch is fitted to a carbon black FKM rubber strap with orange contrast stitching, designed for comfort, durability, and a refined finish. Each Redcliff 39.5 'ES' is individually numbered and presented in the elegant Amos Box, a solid ash presentation case lined in cream suede, embodying both heritage and luxury.
